If you’re not attending the National Rally in Weymouth this weekend why not take a trip to Teesside for the second of three 2022 British Scooter Endurance Club events?
The BSEC lads and lasses will be at the Teesside Autodrome from Friday afternoon for a two-hour evening practice session. That will be followed by a longer than usual 8-hour endurance race on Saturday. The race action starts at an earlier time of 10 am so if you’re planning to spectate be there early enough to see the Le Mans start.
Free to spectate
Spectating is free for all, so bring a picnic and come along to cheer on your favourite teams and riders. Talking of favourites, due to a clash with the National Rally, half of our SLUK Racing riders are absent this weekend. SLUK do have a team entered, with ex-pat and ex-BSSO racer Scott Swarbrick standing in for Iggy and Shaun. However, things haven’t gone to plan in the workshop this week. Despite Sticky and Sam spending over 40 hours building our race engine into new casings, as of this afternoon we’ve been forced to withdraw our entry. However, a third engine build is underway and if that goes to plan we may still be back on track. You’ll have to wait until the weekend to find out though.
