Yamaha Motor expresses its deepest sympathies to all the victims affected by this crisis and hopes for a return to peace as quickly as possible.
What is Japan Platform?
The Japan Platform was set up as a result of the 1999 Kosovo conflict. Several Japanese Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) got together to try and help the refugees. Since then the Platform has helped in refugee and natural disaster situations around the world. They can act fast to get into a humanitarian crisis. Once there they help build evacuations centres, set up food distribution systems, provide medical supplies, manage waste disposal, address hygiene matters and establish an array of other social services.
Since its formation, the Japan Platform has helped out around the world, dealing with everything from Coronavirus to earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions, cyclones and many other humanitarian problems.
