Keith Terry and Mike Bonnet have visited the Whilton Mill circuit in Daventry today to finalise plans and check out the facilities ahead of the first endurance racing round in May. If you were at the Teeside6 in September you’ll be pretty pleased when you see the facilities at Whilton mill.
Race day
The British Scooter Endurance Racing (BSEC) event will take place over the weekend of May 30th with the six-hour race taking place on the Saturday (rather than Sunday). The Lambretta Club of Great Britain will also be using the endurance as a signing on event for the BSM Championship. Luckily there’s lots of space for the extra spectators expected as a result and the 1150 metre long track has two huge viewing balconies. You can see the whole track and there’s live timing both on trackside screens and live on your mobile.
With plenty of space for camping, a huge paddock and great facilities – including a bistro there may well be a few beers sunk after a hard day’s racing.

The endurance race is open to 40 teams, with teams who raced at Teeside getting the first refusal. As it stands there is still space for a few new entries though. It’s probably the best day you’ll ever have on a classic scooter and is also great fun to watch.

As it’s 10 mins from my house i can go home inbetween my stints lol i could probably walk there too.I guarentee i’ll be there first as well to set up and as my workshop is also 10 mins from it i won’t run out of spare parts either.Don’t you love it when you get to use your local track
It’s the best thing I’ve ever done on a geared scooter. For anyone who’s thinking about it, just do it! An absolute rollercoaster of a day out.
