New Sprocket
I’ve run an LTH ‘Liedholsheim’ clutch for many years in my wife’s TS1 which has often been used as a dyno donkey for exhaust tests. I rate it as one of the best Lambretta clutches on the market.
The Liedolsheim uses 7-motorcycle clutch plates which have thicker ‘ears’ which cause less sawing-action on the steel clutch sprocket (Crownwheel) than Lambretta style plates.
Marco has recently released a new ‘Liedolsheim Ultralight’ sprocket made entirely form CNC-machines aluminium. This saves a massive 700 grams compared to the previous version. He tells us that it has been tested for 7,000 miles with no noticeable wear. Currently only 46T version is available, priced at 199 Euros.

Left-hand TS1 inlet manifold
Terry Shepherd’s fabulous TS1 kit revolutionised the Lambretta in 1985 and is still one of the favourite ‘big-block’ kits, even if performance has been surpassed in recent years by rivals.
As such the TS1 is more frequently put into service as a touring kit these days, often in conjunction with a smaller carb for better economy.
The one failing of the TS1 for this role (along with every other reedvalve kit except the GT kits) is that it has a right-hand, kickstart side, carb position. That means removal of the battery tray on any Lambretta with DC electrics.
LTH come to the rescue of anyone who doesn’t want to modify their frame, or possibly has a long-range tank with a left-side cut-out, by offering a fully CNC-machined left-side inlet manifold.
The manifold is only for carbs up to 30mm diameter and has a slightly flattened internal bore to clear the frame, however in dyno tests it is claimed to match the power results of a comparable right-hand manifold.
The ‘Linke Nummer’ (‘left number’) manifold comes with a short flange rubber, offering the maximum possible clearance to the side-panel, allowing for the use of rubber carb elbows and remote air filters. The current price is 139 Euros.
