Yamaha has released retail pricing for its new, mean-looking ‘ride on a car licence’ three-wheeler, the Tricity 300. The scooter is due to arrive in dealers in July. The high-spec scooter makes the perfect machine for a socially distancing commuter looking to get off crowded public transport. Especially relevant because (like most three-wheeled scooters) it can be ridden WITHOUT taking a bike test.
Full car licence?
All you need is a full car (or bike licence) and you will soon be scooting into the city every morning. With a leaning trike, you get all the benefits of two wheels: they’re easy to ride, good at beating congestion, usually free and easy to park, dynamic and exciting to ride, great fun, quick, and cheap to run. You also get the added safety aspect that three wheels bring: better stability and much safer in wet or slippery conditions so it’s a win, win.
Car drivers will probably be familiar with smart key ignition, traction control and ABS – the Tricity boasts these features, as well as ‘Standing Assist’ to help keep the Tricity upright at slow speeds, or whilst putting it on the stand. Accelerate and Standing Assist automatically releases.
Accessory packs and wide range of genuine accessories
Every customer has their own unique lifestyle with a different set of priorities, and Yamaha has developed three new Accessory Packs with a range of carefully selected products to match individual requirements.
Featuring a Sports Screen, License Plate Holder and Aluminium Foot Panels, the Sports Pack delivers an extra dose of dynamism and even sportier looks! With its feelings of stability and confidence, the Tricity 300 is ideal for year-round riding, and the Winter Pack comes with an Apron, Grip Heater and Knuckle Visors for increased comfort in cold and bad weather. For added practicality and convenience the Urban Pack incorporates a High Screen, Rear Carrier and 39L Top Case that makes the Tricity 300 an even more effective commuter.
Yamaha’s range of individual accessories for the Tricity 300 is constantly evolving, and the comprehensive line-up is now joined by a number of new products including a choice of slip-on mufflers, a catalytic converter, and a comfort seat. Each product featured in the three new Accessory Packs can also be purchased individually, enabling customers to create their very own Tricity 300 to match their needs and desires. The Genuine Accessory and apparel range is constantly evolving, and full information can be seen at Yamaha.
