Rimini Lambretta Centre have introduced a new larger ‘XL’ version of their ultra-discreet inside legshield toolbox. The fibreglass toolbox is 5cm deeper than their original ‘X109’ slimline model so will be much more practical (the old one could only take a bottle of 2-stroke and a few tools).
Bicylindrico
Two versions are available, one fits all Series 3 Li/SX/TV/GT/Special/Serveta (code X109XL) and another fits the GP/DL (Code X109BXL). The toolboxes are an exact copy of one fitted to the Innocenti produced SX200 twin-cylinder prototype that is part of Vittorio Tessera’s Lambretta Museum in Milan – hence the ‘Bicylindrico’ name.
Simple fit
They’re straightforward enough to fit, you’ll just need to drill a small 5mm hole for the single top mounting bolt (hole is hidden once fitted), the lower mounting bolts fit the existing bottom horncasting retaining bolts. Each toolbox comes with rubber beading, a lock and two keys. They cost £179 and can be ordered direct from Rimini Lambretta Centre, through our SLUK Shop or at any Casa Performance dealer.
X131 Casa Performance brake hose
Also new from Rimini Lambretta are these upgraded Casa Performance brake hoses designed by the boys in Rimini to their own design. The top-quality Italian made hoses are for the Casa single hydraulic disc brakes and include an integral stop light switch. Previously an external micro-switch was needed if you wanted to run a brake light.
The point where the stop-light wires are attached remains hidden behind the horncasting for a clean look and to stop it being exposed to the elements. They cost £68 and can be ordered here or direct through SLUK, or worldwide Casa Performance dealers.
