It was a great experience, taking in spectacular scenery, meeting kindred spirits in Lucca, and sharing many laughs together. Keeping the scooters on the road was a challenge, but to paraphrase the song lyrics, “With a little help from your friends” anything is possible. All in all the grand total of £4200 was raised for MERU, which will go towards giving very young disabled children the chance to experience independent mobility for the first time. The boys have even talked of doing it all again in a couple of years to raise even more money – watch this space! You can find out more about the MERU Charity here.
