I’m sure any Italjet customers who have been waiting patiently for their First Edition Dragster will be pleased to know that production of the scooter has been underway for over a month at the Bologna based factory.
The first shipments of the eagerly anticipated new scooter are due to arrive in December. The dealer network includes over 50 Italian dealers for the home market, there are also 50 distributors covering 5 continents who will supply their own dealer networks.

Italjet Power Parts
Available for 2022 in a choice of liquid-cooled, 125 or 200cc, the DOHC, twin cam, four valve engines produce 13hp and 18hp respectively. Everybody wants more power though right? Italjet have also announced the ‘Power Parts line’ which will feature performance, handling and stopping upgrades from some top aftermarket specialists. Names like Akrapovič, Malossi, Brembo and Öhlins.
These parts will boost the 125cc to 15bhp and take the 200 to over 20bhp. Akrapovič has created two specific Dragster exhaust systems, one is approved for road use whilst the other is for Racing. Malossi have developed a kit to improve the performance of the transmission and are currently working on a race cylinder kit as well. Brembo are supplying brake levers and master cylinders. High-end suspension specialists, Öhlins will have a set of shock absorbers for the “New Urban Superbike” and Italjet will also be making a series of carbon styling parts.
Colours and pricing
For 2022 the Dragster will be available in Red, Yellow and black colour ways. The price in Italy is €5499 for the 125 and €5799 for the 200, other market prices may differ.
Electric Dragster?
In late 2022 Italjet also plan to release an electric version of the iconic new machine. The scooter will be powered by a 12kW electric motor and we’ll bring more details about that as soon as we get them.
